Monster Cookies

My Mom has been making me monster cookies for years. They are a peanut butter oatmeal cookie with M&Ms and chocolate chips mixed in. They are also flourless so if you get glueten free oats you’re set. The thing that makes these monster cookies is the LARGE batch they make. I actually don’t own a bowl that I could make a whole batch in if I wanted to. I had my younger cousin over recently and we put together a quarter batch of this recipe which make about six dozen cookies – which was more than enough for what I wanted to do with them!

My cousin and I had a ton of fun putting the cookies together. She did all the mixing. Some of the measuring, and all of the scooping out the cookies. She also got into the blogging and was helping Matt take some pictures. It was her idea to have an “action shot” of her hot cocoa!

Recipe (From my Mom’s recipe box!)

This was how my Dad emailed me the recipe. I made a quarter batch and used my cookie scoop for the size of the cookies.

  • 12 eggs
  • 2 lb brown sugar
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 1 T corn syrup
  • 1 T vanilla
  • 8 tsp soda
  • 1 lb butter
  • 3 lb peanut butter
  • 18 cups oatmeal
  • 1 lb chocolate chips
  • 1 lb M & M

mix in order

do not over bake

350 for 10 - 12 minutes
