I love funfetti baked goods. I think they’re fun. Matt doesn’t. He thinks sprinkle cookies are boring. So when I saw this version for funfetti cookies using crushed M&Ms in place of the sprinkles, I figured this was a cookie Matt could enjoy as well.
One of my favorite parts of this cookie (besides that are full of milk chocolate) was that I froze a bunch of the cookie dough for later. (I kinda love to freeze a batch for later). For these I went straight from the freezer to the oven and it took maybe 1-2 minutes longer then when the dough wasn’t frozen.
Recipe (From Munchkin Munchies)
I got 4-5 dozen cookies from this recipe (I made them kinda small)
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) room temperature butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup crushed up m&m candies
Preheat the oven to 375F. Cream the butter and sugar then add the eggs and vanilla. Once everything is incorporated mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the crushed up M&M. I used my cookie scoop to get a consistent size on the cookie sheet. I baked these for 8-10 minutes until the edges were golden brown.
